LOCAL FOREIGNER CLUB | BRANDING

  • Overview
Local Foreigner is a streetwear brand that blurs the lines between local identity and global culture. It was born from a personal journey of the international model Diogo Gomes that spans Portugal, Cabo Verde, NY and France, a reflection of life lived between cultures, places, and perspectives. What began as a simple idea to create clothing that felt authentic evolved into a movement: a brand rooted in connection, community, and cultural duality.

    Concept & Brand Identity
Foreigner is daring, unfiltered, and impossible to ignore, yet grounded in refinement and purpose. Its visual language mirrors the experience of a true foreigner: ever-shifting, reflective, and dynamic. The brand’s world lives in a non-white gallery space, where chrome, plastic, and concrete coexist, creating a constant tension between raw and refined. A cold, minimal backdrop amplifies the warmth and humanity of its clothing, while hints of yellow spark identity and energy across signage, packaging, and labels.

    Symbolism
At the heart of the identity stands the Egyptian vulture, a symbol of protection, motherhood, and divine guardianship. Revered by the Egyptians as pure and royal, the vulture embodies strength in what’s often misunderstood. Like the foreigner’s experience, it represents resilience, transformation, and beauty found beyond convention.

    Positioning & Personality
Local Foreigner is bold and adaptive, a brand that preserves its foundation while evolving with every drop, city, and audience it touches. Playful, elegant, and culturally ruthless, it exists to challenge norms and celebrate authenticity in all its forms.

    Audience & Offering
Built for Gen Z urban explorers, travelers, minimalists, and eco-conscious individuals, the brand connects with those who value expression with purpose. From streetwear essentials (beanies, denim, polos, tees) to accessories, limited drops, and local pop-up events, Local Foreigner creates not just fashion, but shared moments and a sense of belonging.

    Mood
    Empathic. Playful. Distinctive.
Local Foreigner doesn’t just dress the city, it is the city’s fabric.
