Product design proposal for Octo Health (Unreleased)
The goal was to transform a full year of health data into a calm, engaging story, rather than presenting it as a traditional dashboard.
The experience is structured across 6 screens, each revealing a different part of Emma's year, from her overall progress, to specific improvements, challenges, recommendations, and finally what comes next.
The transitions are intentionally smooth, using the gradient animations from the prototype to create a sense of continuity and movement between chapters, without becoming distracting or overwhelming.
A subtle confetti in/out animation was added to the celebration moment to reinforce the feeling of achievement without overwhelming the experience. The prototype also uses subtle animated gradients and smooth transitions to maintain continuity between screens. The idea is that the Twin, represented differently on each page, has a subtle light movement or pulsation, making it feel more alive and present throughout the experience.
The overall experience is designed to feel calm, informed and engaging: easy to understand, rewarding enough to make the user feel proud of her progress, while still being honest about areas that need attention.
The final experience also creates opportunities to share positive achievements, while keeping sensitive health information out of the shareable moments.
The prototype includes a story-sharing feature inspired by experiences like Spotify Wrapped. Users can choose to share a specific achievement, such as their Octo Score, rather than exposing their full health data.
The shared story can also include a link back to Octo, allowing others to explore the animated full Wrapped experience and view Emma's profile. This creates a more engaging and social way to share the experience while keeping sensitive health information private by default. The shared experience only exposes the information Emma chooses to share, while the rest of her health data remains private.
